NORTHWEST DALLAS. Habla español? If you don't already, hopefully you can by the end of 2009! This Latino discoteca is a relative newcomer to Dallas's nightlife scene. Spanish beats play as experienced and amateur dancers show off their salsa and merengue dance moves. Providing refreshment at the bar are plenty of mixed drinks and beer. Patrons between the ages of 18 and 21 must pay a minimum cover charge of $5. Located off I-35 near Irving Texas Stadium.

DEEP ELLUM. A neighborhood hotspot since the early '90s, Blind Lemon draws huge weekend crowds thanks to an awesome mix of DJ-spun house and '80s retro tunes. In fact, the good-looking 20- and 30-somethings who flock here pose and preen more than anything else, but that's not to say that the place is a stranger to dancing. Part of the legendary Clearview Complex, Blind Lemon shares its warehouse digs with (among others) Art Bar.

DEEP ELLUM. As if Deep Ellum needed another place with attitude, along came Blue, a mega-club that attracts a veritable who's-who of athletes, celebrities, and local trend-setters. Urban to the core, the enormous club features some of the city's top DJs, many of whom host popular local radio stations during the day. Nightly music ranges from pulsing Latin and salsa to beat-driven hip-hop and R&B. Cutting-edge lighting and plasma screens are sure to hijack your senses. If you need a breather, lounges and an upstairs VIP room are available. (Take note, though ­ the latter option will cost you.)

NORTHEAST DALLAS. Multi-talented Carson's pleases patrons with an energetic dance floor, several bars, numerous spots for lounging, giant TVs showing sports action, and plenty of pool tables. DJs and bands provide a mix of trance, rock, and pop to keep people moving on the spacious dance floor. Should you need a break, order a hearty burger and one of the club's signature Cosmos to revive your spirits. Lots of room and a variety of activities make Carson's a great place to spend a fun evening.

DEEP ELLUM. Trendy and stylish, this club is where celebs choose to hang out when they're in town. Featuring three distinct spaces ­ Astro Room, Jupiter Room, and Driton's Lounge ­ Uropa offers different beats for every clubber's taste, including hip-hop, house, and techno. Singles congregate for great drink specials, reasonable covers (ladies often gain free entrance), fun events, hot tunes from live bands and in-house DJs, and appearances by occasional, well-known guest DJs. Superb audio and lighting systems enhance the experience.
